Broosh is located in the State of North Darfur, Sudan, along the road connecting Elfashir and Elobeid. Broosh has a population of 9000 but the Centre will serve 100 000 in a catchment of over 22 village.
The Centre, the first of its type in Darfur, will involve in health education and training and will address midwifery, breastfeeding, abolition of female general mutilation and sound nutrition. Ultimate aid is to reduce child and maternal mortality and contribute to better perinatal heath in the area.
